Molecular genetics is the study of the molecular structure of genetic material (e.g. DNA) and its cellular activities. At CH lab we use molecular genetics as the basis of our diagnostic models. Molecular diagnostics includes but is not limited to Quantitative Real Time PCR testing and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). As our goal is to improve human health, we use our knowledge to develop new testing panels and ensure timely and accurate yet cost-effective diagnostic portfolio.

One of our ongoing projects is utilization of NGS for Exome analysis of individuals suffering from Autism Spectrum Disorder in order to determine the putative genes that differentiate ASD from all other developmental disorders. This endeavour will make early diagnosis possible for ASD children and ensure them better quality of life.
